TILTING TV MOUNTS

Experience the Best Picture Clarity on Your Wall Mounted Flat Screen Plasma, LCD or LED TV by Using a Tilting TV Wall Mount Instead of a Flat-Fixed TV Bracket. We Sell Premium VESA Compliant Tilting TV Wall Mounts with a Full Range of Tilt Motion at the Best Bargain Discount Prices.

The two most common types of TV mounts used for wall mouting flat screen televisions are flat-fixed and tilting. Flat-fixed mounts are the simplest and cheapest kind you can buy. They are designed to hold the television flat and flush to the wall like a picture frame in a fixed position. Flat-fixed mounts do not allow you to adjust the viewing angle or position of your flat screen TV once you have secured it to the wall. Once it is secured to the wall, your TV is allowed to face only straight ahead. Tilting TV wall mounts, on the other hand, are designed with a tilting feature which allows the brackets that support the TV to adjust up or down at an angle (although down only on most models). When secured to the wall, the tilting feature allows the supported TV to lean forward from the wall at a downward angle (toward you) when you're watching it from your seat.

What Makes Tilting TV Wall Mounts Better Than Flat-Fixed TV Wall Mounts?

The application of flat-fixed TV mounts is awfully limited because they work well only on the very few HDTVs in the marketplace with AV plugs located on their bottom or side panels. They do not work on most HDTVs, which have AV plugs installed on their back panels. Remember, flat-fixed mounts will secure your TV's back panel flush to the wall, which prohibits any access to AV connections located on the back panel of your TV set. Flat-fixed mounts also lack the angle adjustability needed when you want to display your TV above a fireplace or on a wall space that is higher than your eye-level while sitting down. In other words, if you're sitting on your couch and looking up at your TV mounted above a fireplace, for example, and the TV is facing straight ahead instead of facing downward at you, you will most likely see an annoying reflective glare on the TV screen surface, and the colors may also appear somewhat distorted (especially if your flat panel TV has an LCD or LED screen).

Tilting TV wall mounts, on the other hand, have a much wider application because they can hold the TV flat against the wall if that's what you prefer, but they also allow you to tilt your flat screen TV down at an angle that is perfect for your viewing pleasure in case you'd like to mount your TV up high. This downward angle has been proven to provide the best visual experience when you're looking up at your HDTV and watching the picture from a lower viewing position than where the TV is mounted, such as from your couch.

Buy a High Quality, VESA Compliant Tilting TV Mount With a Full Range of Tilt Motion.

When you're deciding on which tilting TV mount to buy, make sure you purchase one that has a full range of tilt motion; that is, one that has at least 12 to 15 degrees of downward tilt. A full range of tilt motion is important because the degree at which you must adjust the TV's downward tilt will depend largely on how close or far away you sit from the TV set. The closer you sit toward your TV, the more you will need to tilt the TV downward to experience its sharpest picture. (You will not likely need to lean your TV more than 15 degrees forward from the wall to experience the best picture it can produce). It is equally important that you purchase a tilting mount that is VESA compliant. VESA is a universal fitting standard agreed upon by major HDTV and TV mount manuafacturing companies to ensure consumers that their TV mounts, if VESA compliant, will fit most flat panel HDTVs in today's marketplace. The last thing you'd want to do is waste your time and money on a non-VESA compliant tilt mount with a small range of motion because you'd run the risk of having a mount that does not tilt enough for your viewing pleasure, or even worse, does not even fit the mounting holes on your television.
